NAMAQUA WINES TREASURE HUNT

TIETIESBAAI AS BASE CAMP

10 – 12 FEBRUARY 2012

A TREASURE HUNT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
ENSURING THAT YOU SEE PLACES NOT NORMALLY VISITED

Why facilitate a treasure hunt? The main reasons for a treasure hunt is to get people to visit and explore places not normally visited, while ensuring good interaction between participants in a vehicle, either family or friends. A good treasure hunt will ensure maximum pleasure for all, making people more aware of their surroundings while following the leads in search of the various treasures. Having found all or most of the treasures a great prize sponsored by Namaqua Wines will be the reward. This prize will be well worth the effort in finding all the individual treasures scoring the highest points possible in the treasure hunt.  A brain teaser, to be completed while driving between treasures, will add another dimension to the fun-filled weekend and will count in the final points competition for the Namaqua Wines Treasure Hunt.

Tietiesbaai, situated in the heart of the West Coast, is where we will set base camp for the duration of the Cederberg 4x4 Treasure Hunt weekend. Should you choose not to partake in the treasure hunt, our camp at Tietiesbaai is within walking distance of popular fishing spots, giving participants the opportunity to try their hand at catching a fresh fish for dinner. The coast offers many coves and bays, always ensuring good fishing. It is your choice where you choose to catch the big one of the weekend. Remember to bring your fishing permits and permits for anything else, like black mussels and limpets, you wish to harvest from the ocean. Many interesting recipes are normally shared around the camp fire each night with regard to the preparation of seafood. If you have any special recipes or suggestion with regards to preparing seafood, please bring these along. The venue will ensure enough activities for young and old during the weekend.

Invite your family and friends, even those with normal vehicles, to join us at Tietiesbaai for the relaxing fun- filled Namaqua Wines Treasure Hunt camping weekend. The venue ensures good catches for the avid fishermen while the other people spoil themselves in a fun-filled family orientated treasure hunt in the surrounding area. A communal self-catering dinner will be enjoyed both evenings at Tietiesbaai.
